March to march

I realized that time just fly so fast.

It's March and time to march things up as there are many many stuffs to finish and all.  My hopes rely on the grace because I know that these matters are beyond my strength.

For one, I have reports to consolidate, staffing to finalize, and all the other concerns that from time to time my direct supersivor entrust to me.

How about you, how's your March going on so far?

Certified Rocky Road

It was a splendid day yet my heart was thumping wildly as I embarked on a motorcycle ride of my life. A team of eight individuals were on their way to the infamous 23rd km-remote-rural-barangay up in the mountains of Lanuza.

I never imagined myself on that trip as I gripped tightly the shoulders of my companion back riding on the single motorcycle with wooden wings at each side carrying 2 passengers each. Proper precautions were given to each of us so nothing hazardous will happen. One is that, when riding on this kind of transportation, the passengers who are seated on each wing need to be calm in case the motorcycle will be out of balance and he/she should never put his or leg down for support as it might be the end of one's sturdy leg.

Brrrrrrrooooom,  I could hear the engine shouting and screaming as it goes over rocks, puddles of mud, and dead trees; but more on the rocks as I scream and wanted to close my eyes every time our motorcycle tries to run over them and would cause us to bounce and bounce almost falling off our seats.  What's more, there were instances when we were actually in between cliffs!  Indeed, certified rocky road but I guess the ice cream would be so much better.

My knowledge about motorcycles was enriched as I learned that with the type of road, a certain rubber motorcycle tire is required. They were talking about 135 or 130. Searching over the net, it's more of 130 which allows more grip and balance for that kind of terrain.  The speed required should not be too slow or too fast.  There were even moments when we had to walk for a couple of times so we will not all fall off our seats.

After almost 2 hours of motorcycle ride, we reached the barangay named Pakwan (derived from the edible fern called Pako very common to the place) just as the last ray of sunlight faded over the trees.

I can not help but say all the words I know saying Thank You for the protection and safe trip we had.

On our third day, this same adventure will recur as we will still be having the same ride, but this time, it will be descending down slopes of the mountains and hopefully the weather will cooperate having Mr. Sun smiling gladly.

Do you also have some adventures on the field like this? Tell me more about it.

Return to Mythology

On a day like this, I prefer to just lie on my bed and daydream as hours would pass by while listening to my favorite radio station, Radio Cafe' over the internet. An SMS would make my phone beep and pull me away from my imaginings. My toes happily wiggle to the beat.  In quandary still, thinking what possibly I do to make myself mobile once and for all for a change.

My usual Sunday became something different all of a sudden as I decided to watch with my sister and cousin the Wrath of the Titans.

The movie was the sequel of the other year's movie, Wrath of the Titans, which critics claim that the classic and older version was better. I care not nonetheless as I feel I really do not have the authority to say so. Would my opinions really matter? Who knows as I have a new dream... to be able to publish my review on movies that could on my way.

Overall, it was a movie about sacrifice, forgiveness, and the unconditional love of a father as displayed by Perseus. My insight definitely is that of knowing how things come out as a result of one's action - good or bad. We never comprehend the extent of damage or grace that things turn out to be.

Spoilers not I provide so you will see the movie for yourself. However, one thing that I can give you is the image they presented in making the labyrinth of the Minotaur well-crafted that you would feel you were also inside it. Make sure you will know how to get out.

So watch and enjoy the movie. Don't forget the popcorn =) Let me know what you think afterward.

Blessed to be Stressed

I just ended my week with a hang over.

Frustration engulfed me as though I am in the middle of nowhere.

My boss is getting irate of my low turn out and delayed reports. My co-workers are getting indifferent as they too have their own tasks to manage.

Blessed to be stressed.  Yes that is what I always think.  I get this mantra from my previous operations manager who always mock me with my crappy amateur action plan to constantly-monitor-the-agents strategy. My clustermates would laugh boisterously every time someone would exclaim those words. Well, I just shrugged it off.

Somehow, since I got this job, I never get tired of telling myself that I am still blessed to be stressed. Saying this would lift me up from the many cares of work as I believe that this has made my world go around--- my work is a blessing.  I could not even imagine staying under the sun trying to sell a product to a stranger, just like the man I saw selling pails.  Nevertheless, simple and noble as selling pails, the joy from getting money from an honest day's work is worth the walking and carrying.

Grateful for the blessing that the Man up above has given me, I rest my worries yet assured that tomorrow I will be enlightened to finish my pending work.

Blessed to be stressed.

Primer

The complexities of coming up with my first blog page is very intoxicating.

Even before, I thought that blog is only for people who have the pen and ink running through their respective veins, however, these days I should say that as long as you know the basic ABCs of computer and web navigation you can say hello to blogs! What can I tell you? The only thing that makes me confident in coming up with my very own space is my 45wpm,hahaha! Kidding aside, for me blogging is a no-brainer stuff as long as you have the guts and the sense to talk about something sensible at the end.

What gives me the impetus of creating such? For one, this is something that keeps me from thinking of stuffs related to my bs experiences and then in the process see the light underneath it all. Some can create imaginary blogs and earn and a lot as in a lot ( thanks to the web ads posted on the sites), oh well, you can say that again I look forward to that. Some create blogs in line with their passions and hobbies. I blog because... I still want to discover the reason for that.

Primer,  as I call this first blog is an inference of discoveries on how I came up with this so called piece.
Well, for the past 6 years of surfing, searching, navigating, facebooking, etc, I found out that the number of people blogging is increasing. Blog is a blended word from web log. One can post comments and even assassinate the one who wrote it--- using of course all the effing words they can think of.

Somehow, while writing this piece, I realized that my main reason is just to test the waters of blogging.  I would be happy if people would read what I would post as I may just be a simple human being trying to get the feel if ever my blogs would garner even just one comment. Comments may present themselves as inspirations, challenges, and advises---with an open heart and mind I welcome them.
